Role Description

We are looking for a Software Development Team Lead who can drive the architectural vision, guide a multidisciplinary team, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions. In this role, you will lead a squad of engineers, collaborate closely with product owners, and apply best practices to build scalable, high-performing applications that meet complex technical and business requirements.

• Your focus will be on delivering robust solutions, mentoring team members, and maintaining a strong engineering culture.
• You will contribute hands-on to development tasks: back-end microservices in Kotlin and Java.
• Continuously improve systems design, code quality, and team efficiency.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software development within product-focused companies.
• At least 5+ years working extensively in Kotlin or Java.
• 3+ years in a people management role.
• Experience working with relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred).
• Experience with Spring Boot Framework.
• Hands-on back-end development expertise.
• Strong system design background: distributed systems architecture, scalability and reliability trade-offs, long-term tech ownership.
• Strong engineering culture, attention to detail, and business-centric mindset.
• Leadership, clear communication, and strong organizational skills.

Requirements

• Lead and manage a team of engineers: hiring, performance reviews, continuous feedback, and day-to-day support.
• Define and drive quarterly, release, and sprint planning to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
• Own architectural decisions and technical direction; review and challenge designs with a focus on performance, scalability, reliability, and testability.
• Ensure production stability: proactive monitoring, incident response, post-mortems, and corrective measures.
• Define and maintain service contracts to ensure seamless communication between systems.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Infrastructure, and Customer Operations to align technical solutions with business needs.
• Contribute personally to back-end development, primarily in Kotlin.
• Participate in the on-call rotation to ensure 24/7 service availability.
