Role Description

The Software Development Manager is responsible for leading one or more engineering teams responsible for the development, delivery, and support of our platforms. This role is accountable for people leadership, delivery execution, technical guidance, and cross-functional collaboration, ensuring teams deliver high-quality software while fostering employee growth, engagement, and accountability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.
• 6+ years of professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of experience leading and developing engineering teams in an Agile environment.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience managing competing priorities and delivering results under pressure.
• Ability to assess, communicate, and mitigate technical and delivery risks.
• Deep knowledge of SDLC methodologies and engineering best practices.
• Hands-on engineering background with the ability to engage credibly in code reviews, design reviews, and technical investigations.
• Experience driving continuous improvement, including post-incident root cause analysis and process refinement.
• Familiarity with security, privacy, and operational compliance standards.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams including Product Management, Quality Assurance, DevOps, Technical Support, and Customer Success.
• Experience participating in technical recruiting, candidate evaluation, and onboarding.
• Specific technologies: SaaS Application Development, Web App Development, Mobile (Obj-C, Swift, Maui), AWS/Cloud, RDBMS, CI/CD, Observability.

Requirements

• This is a remote position; however, applicants must reside in and be able to legally work in the United States.
