Role Description

We're looking for a highly motivated Software Development Engineer 3 (SDE-3) to build and scale the next generation of CashFlo's platform. This is a senior hands-on engineering role where you'll own end-to-end delivery of complex features, influence architecture decisions, and mentor junior engineers while remaining deeply involved in design and implementation.

You'll work across backend services, cloud infrastructure, integrations, and frontend applications to build secure, scalable, and resilient systems that power mission-critical financial workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend services using Java, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka, and related technologies.
• Build and enhance modern React-based frontend applications with a strong focus on performance and maintainability.
• Own complete feature development—from technical design through deployment and production support.
• Design APIs and services that are scalable, secure, and easy for other teams to consume.
• Participate actively in architecture discussions and drive technical decisions for complex projects.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, QA, DevOps, and other engineering teams to deliver high-quality software.
• Improve application reliability through monitoring, performance optimization, testing, and operational excellence.
• Mentor SDE-1 and SDE-2 engineers through code reviews, technical guidance, and best engineering practices.
• Contribute to engineering standards, reusable libraries, automation, and developer productivity initiatives.
• Deploy, monitor, and optimize applications on AWS infrastructure.
• Contribute to AI-powered engineering workflows and leverage coding agents to improve engineering productivity.
• Contribute to ETL pipelines, data processing workflows, and enterprise integrations whenever required.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of professional software engineering experience building production-grade applications.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and distributed backend systems.
• Solid experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka, and scalable data storage patterns.
• Strong proficiency with React.js and modern frontend development practices.
• Good understanding of distributed systems, system design, concurrency, caching, and scalability.
• Experience designing, reviewing, and implementing scalable software architecture.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and modern deployment practices.
• Strong understanding of software engineering best practices including testing, observability, monitoring, and production debugging.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers and conducting high-quality code reviews.
• Hands-on experience using AI coding assistants or agentic development tools (Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot Agent Mode, or similar) as part of daily engineering workflows.
• Good understanding of LLM-powered workflows, RAG systems, OCR pipelines, or Agentic AI is desirable.
• Experience with enterprise ERP integrations (SAP, Oracle, or similar) is a plus.
• Exposure to ETL pipelines, AWS Glue, Airflow, webhooks, API gateways, or batch reconciliation is an added advantage.
