MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Software Developer to support our government client. This is a remote position.

• Develops, creates, and modifies general computer applications software or specialized utility programs.
• Analyzes user needs and develops software solutions.
• Designs or customizes software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency.
• Analyzes and designs databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team.
• Research, designs, develops, and tests operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution software for various applications.
• Sets operational specifications and formulates and analyzes software requirements.
• Design embedded systems software; apply principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.

Qualifications

• 12 years of IT experience with a HS diploma; 8 years with a Bachelor’s degree; or 4 years with a Master’s degree.
• Minimum of 6 years’ hands-on development experience with Java and JavaScript in Linux environments.
• Minimum of 6 years’ hands-on development experience with NodeJS, Spring/Spring Boot, and Python.
• Minimum of 6 years’ experience developing in Agile/Scrum environment.
• Development experience with AWS, AWS Lambdas, AWS CloudFormation; experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, AWS DynamoDB.
• Ability to develop program logic for new applications or analyze existing applications; experienced with codes, tests, debugs, and maintaining software applications.
• Ability to analyze requirements and maintain test and integrate applications; ability to solve a range of problems independently.

Requirements

• Must have a current/active Secret security clearance.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
• Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
• Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
• Often positions self to maintain computers in the lab, including under the desks and in the server closet.
• Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
