Role Description

NASA’s Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) is seeking a contractor to join its software developers to create and maintain custom developed solutions. This role will specifically be supporting ICAM’s IdMAX (Identity Management and Access Exchange), NAMS (NASA Access Management), custom container applications, and integrations. These solutions predominantly utilize Spring Boot and JAVA.

• Understand functional and technical system requirements.
• Design and implement applications.
• Handle deployments.
• Work closely with the operational support team on testing, troubleshooting, and providing Tier 3 operational support as needed for delivered solutions.
• Work under the general supervision of the development lead in an agile team environment.

Qualifications

• BS/BA Degree in Computer Science is preferred but other IT-related degrees will be considered.
• Junior to Mid – Less than 4 years of related work experience.

Requirements

• Solid skills in designing, developing, and supporting enterprise-level solutions in a heavily Java-centric environment.
• Able to obtain clearance: Not Required; NASA will initiate Tier 2 Federal Background Investigation.

• Web Development technologies (HTML, Bootstrap UI, Javascript and Javascript-related libraries, JSON, JSPs, REST/SOAP Web Services, XML, Thymeleaf, etc)
• SQL and relational database design (primarily MS SQL Server)
• MyBatis
• Maven
• Git / GitLab
• Familiarity with container platforms (such as RedHat OpenShift) and related technologies (Kubernetes, Docker, etc)
• Familiarity with CI / CD delivery pipelines
• Proficiency in IDE of choice (Eclipse, InteliJ, etc)

• Understanding the fundamentals of digital certificates and related technologies.
