[Hiring] SharePoint Online Architect @Sofka

Role Description

We are looking for a SharePoint Online Architect who will be the main technical authority to design, govern, and scale an enterprise content ecosystem in SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365. The role connects business requirements analysis with cloud architecture, leading information architecture (IA), custom extensibility, security, governance, and integrations with Microsoft Teams, Power Platform, and Azure.

Responsibilities

• Architecture and strategy: Define the strategic roadmap and design target architectures using SharePoint Hub Sites, Communication Sites, Team Sites, and governed provisioning templates.
• Information architecture: Design enterprise taxonomies, Managed Metadata, custom content types, term stores, and search schema configurations to ensure intuitive navigation and document discovery.
• Governance and compliance: Establish automated governance policies for site lifecycle, permissions, access controls, data retention, and security classifications, leveraging Microsoft Purview and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Extensibility and development: Lead modern customizations with SharePoint Framework (SPFx), React, REST APIs, and Microsoft Graph; architect solutions with Power Apps, Power Automate, and Azure Serverless (Azure Functions, Logic Apps).
• Migration and modernization: Lead content migrations from legacy environments (SharePoint On-Premises, file shares, third-party ECMs) using enterprise migration tools (ShareGate, Microsoft Migration Tool).
• Stakeholder collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams, business leaders, security/compliance teams, and executive stakeholders to translate complex requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Qualifications

• 4 to 6 years of experience in similar roles.
• Experience with SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365.
• Familiarity with Hub Sites, Communication Sites, Team Sites, and governed provisioning templates.
• Knowledge of information architecture, enterprise taxonomies, Managed Metadata, custom content types, and term stores.
• Experience with search schema configuration, navigation, and document discovery.
• Understanding of automated governance policies: site lifecycle, permissions, and access controls.
• Experience with data retention and security classifications with Microsoft Purview.
• Knowledge of identity and access management with Microsoft Entra ID.
• Experience with SharePoint Framework (SPFx) and React.
• Familiarity with REST APIs and Microsoft Graph.
• Experience with Power Apps and Power Automate.
• Knowledge of Azure Serverless: Azure Functions and Logic Apps.
• Experience with migrations from SharePoint On-Premises, file shares, and third-party ECMs.
• Familiarity with enterprise migration tools: ShareGate, Microsoft Migration Tool.
