Role Description

5K C&T Services is conducting a confidential search on behalf of a client for an experienced ServiceNow Engineer with healthcare industry experience. This is a 6-month contract opportunity (extension possible) supporting the design, development, configuration, integration, and continued enhancement of enterprise ServiceNow solutions.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on ServiceNow development experience across ITSM and related platform capabilities, along with experience supporting ServiceNow environments within a healthcare organization, healthcare technology environment, health plan, provider organization, or another regulated healthcare setting.

This individual will work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, architects, administrators, and technical teams to deliver scalable, secure, reliable, and production-ready ServiceNow solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, configure, and maintain ServiceNow applications and modules, including ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, HRSD, CSM, and custom applications.
• Develop and configure workflows, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, Script Includes, Catalog Items, Record Producers, and Service Portal solutions.
• Translate business and technical requirements into scalable ServiceNow platform solutions.
• Partner with business stakeholders, product owners, architects, administrators, and engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle.
• Develop and support integrations using REST APIs, SOAP web services, IntegrationHub, MID Server, and related technologies.
• Configure and enhance automation using Flow Designer, Workflow Editor, Automation Engine, and related ServiceNow capabilities.
• Troubleshoot ServiceNow incidents, defects, integrations, platform issues, and performance bottlenecks.
• Support upgrades, patches, releases, update sets, deployments, and application-lifecycle activities.
• Maintain platform stability, security, performance, and adherence to ServiceNow development standards.
• Develop technical documentation, solution designs, knowledge articles, and operational runbooks.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure development follows ServiceNow best practices, governance standards, and security requirements.
• Participate in Agile activities, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, estimation, testing, deployment, and retrospectives.
• Collaborate effectively in a fully remote, U.S.-based delivery environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development and administration experience.
• Healthcare industry experience, preferably supporting a provider, payer, health system, healthcare technology organization, pharmaceutical organization, or similarly regulated environment.
• 3+ years of ServiceNow ITSM experience, including Incident, Problem, Change, Request Management, and Service Catalog.
• 3+ years of ServiceNow development using JavaScript, Glide API, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, and Script Includes.
• 2+ years of integration experience using REST APIs, SOAP web services, IntegrationHub, and MID Server.
• 2+ years of experience with Flow Designer, Workflow Editor, or related automation capabilities.
• Strong understanding of the ServiceNow data model, CMDB, platform architecture, and application-development framework.
• Experience with upgrades, update sets, deployment processes, and release management.
• Experience working in Agile or Scrum development environments.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders in a remote environment.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
• Must reside in the United States and be authorized to work in the United States.
• Must be able to perform the engagement as a 1099 independent contractor or through a corporation-to-corporation arrangement.

Preferred Qualifications

• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD).
• Experience with ITOM, Discovery, Service Mapping, ITAM, HRSD, CSM, or SecOps.
• Experience with ServiceNow AI, Virtual Agent, Predictive Intelligence, or Automation Engine.
• Experience with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
• Technical-lead or project-lead experience.
• Experience supporting large enterprise or global ServiceNow implementations.
• Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, Git, or related source-control technologies.
• Experience with healthcare security, privacy, compliance, or other regulated technology environments.

Ideal Candidate

The strongest candidate will combine deep, hands-on ServiceNow engineering experience with an understanding of the operational, security, privacy, and regulatory complexities of healthcare environments. This person should be comfortable working independently in a remote contract setting, collaborating with enterprise stakeholders, troubleshooting complex platform issues, and delivering production-ready solutions in a large-scale environment.
