[Hiring] Senior Vice President, Full-Stack Engineer @BNY Mellon

Role Description

The Bank of New York Mellon seeks Senior Vice President, Full-Stack Engineer in Pittsburgh, PA, to consult with internal business groups to provide high-level application software development services or technical support.

• Provide comprehensive senior-level technical consulting to IT management and senior technical staffs.
• Evaluate compliance with the organization's technology standards.
• Program well-designed, testable, efficient code.
• Analyze, design and develop tests and test-automation suites.
• Develop flowcharts, layouts and documentation to satisfy requirements and solutions.
• Maintain software functionality and currency (technical debt and gain).
• Actively participate in code reviews.
• Integrate software components into a fully functional software system.
• Apply security and privacy principles.
• Work with internal business groups on implementation opportunities, challenges, and requirements of various applications.
• Analyze information and provide recommendations to address and resolve business issues for a specific business group.
• Guide and consult with IT management and technical staffs regarding use of emerging technologies and associated services.
• Participate in defining corporate implementation and integration strategies of new technologies.
• Remote work may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Ten (10) years of experience in the job offered or in a related IT occupation.

Requirements

• Designing and developing robust Micro Services using Java 11, Spring Boot Framework, Maven, REST APIs, MongoDB, and Oracle.
• Utilizing Angular, HTML, CSS and JavaScript to build UI applications.
• Writing Unit Test cases using JUnit and Mockito for complete code coverage.
• Utilizing Agile software development methodology, and building software in incremental iteration in a SCRUM framework.
• Deploying applications in containerized environment using the knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Implementing and managing batch jobs written in Spring Batch.
• Analyzing business requirements, gathering software development requirements, and documenting them in Jira application.
• Leveraging App Dynamics and Splunk for customizing dashboard and creating advanced search queries for log analysis, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
