[Hiring] Senior Staff Platform Engineer / Principal Platform Engineer @Inficare Technologies

Role Description

We are looking for a Senior Staff Engineer to serve as the technical authority for a Kubernetes-based compute platform, owning it from design through ongoing evolution. This platform underpins security, networking, efficiency, and developer-experience capabilities across a Cloud Infrastructure organization, maintaining consistency across multiple cloud providers. You will give infrastructure and product teams a reliable, scalable, and secure foundation for shipping high-quality features at scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Mentor and guide a geographically distributed engineering team
• Identify and deliver improvements that lower the cost of running the cloud platform
• Align teams on objectives, expected outcomes, and delivery schedules
• Own prioritization, timelines, and delivery commitments for your projects
• Help shape the long-range, multi-year roadmap for the cloud platform
• Architect, build, test, ship, operate, and continuously improve the compute platform

Qualifications

• 12+ years in infrastructure engineering
• 4+ years of deep hands-on experience with at least one major public cloud - GCP, AWS, or Azure (including core services such as EC2)
• Expert-level Kubernetes engineering, including:
  • Developing custom Kubernetes controllers
  • Designing and implementing admission webhooks
• Track record of defining technical strategy and landing large, cross-team projects
• Strong commitment to efficiency, availability, quality, and developer experience
• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience

Preferred Skills

• Advanced Golang skills
• Hands-on experience with Istio or Envoy
• Prior experience at cloud-native, DevOps, or infrastructure-centric companies operating Kubernetes in production at scale

Contract engagement. Candidates must bring genuine Kubernetes engineering depth; experience limited to managing clusters via dashboards or routine cluster administration will not meet the requirements for this role.
