[Hiring] Senior Staff Engineer, SAP-Financial Management @Nagarro

Role Description

We are looking for a skilled professional to lead process transformation and implement SAP Finance & Controlling (FI/CO) solutions. The role involves:

• Acting as a liaison between business and IT.
• Managing projects and providing expert guidance on best practices (GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, Profitability).
• Mentoring junior staff and ensuring system alignment with business goals and compliance.
• Leading FICO module configuration and customizing solutions for new projects or enhancements.
• Translating complex business requirements into functional designs and identifying gaps or improvements.
• Managing expectations and communication between business users, technical teams, and project managers.
• Overseeing FICO workstreams, managing risks, and ensuring deliverables meet quality standards and timelines.
• Developing test cases, managing testing cycles, and creating comprehensive documentation (functional specs, training materials).
• Providing expert support, troubleshooting issues, and training users for smooth go-lives and post-go-live stability.
• Conducting multiple full lifecycle implementations with significant S/4HANA experience.
• Having deep expertise in General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), and Profitability Analysis (CO-PA).
• Understanding global accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS) and industry-specific regulatory requirements.
• Possessing cross-functional knowledge and understanding of integration points with MM, SD, PP modules.
• Being technically familiar with SAP best practices, statutory/tax requirements, and potentially integration tools.
• Guiding and mentoring junior consultants to foster knowledge transfer.
• Exhibiting excellent communication, problem-solving, leadership, and client-facing skills.
• Having experience in mergers and acquisitions and large projects is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Requirements

• Total experience: 7.5+ years.

Responsibilities

• Understanding functional requirements thoroughly and analyzing the client’s needs in the context of the project.
• Envisioning the overall solution for defined functional and non-functional requirements.
• Determining and implementing design methodologies and tool sets.
• Enabling application development by coordinating requirements, schedules, and activities.
• Leading/supporting UAT and production rollouts.
• Creating, understanding, and validating WBS and estimated effort for given module/task.
• Addressing issues promptly and responding positively to setbacks and challenges.
• Giving constructive feedback to team members and setting clear expectations.
• Helping the team troubleshoot and resolve complex bugs.
• Providing solutions to issues raised during code/design review and justifying decisions.
• Carrying out POCs to ensure that suggested design/technologies meet the requirements.
