Role Description

As a Senior Engineer at Elastic's Extract and Transformation team, you'll be working collaboratively in a distributed working environment delivering valuable features for the Elastic Search solution. We’re seeking a top-tier software engineer and communicator to help push the product and team to new heights. The team is responsible for bridging the gap to external data sources, transforming them into readily accessible knowledge sources for both traditional and AI applications.

What You Will Be Doing

• Contributing to the development of large-scale GenAI solution in Kibana.
• Collaborate on architecture and design, breaking down large problems into technical deliverables.
• Act as an important and communicative part of an engaged and spirited team, working with data scientists and product teams to integrate AI-driven solutions.
• Produce frontend user interfaces that look amazing and produce the best customer experience.
• Collaborate with and mentor international teammates in a mostly text-based, asynchronous, remote-first team environment with occasional video calls and yearly conferences.
• Be hands-on with the team and codebase, reviewing work and providing constructive feedback.

Qualifications

• Previous experience developing large-scale Typescript applications written in React.
• Focus on the frontend, but will contribute to backend development also.
• Experience with GenAI, LLMs, and RAG.
• Previous experience with open source.
• Excellent practical judgment.
• Measured and articulated written and spoken communication skills.
