[Hiring] Senior Software Engineer - Backend @Stacklet

Role Description

As a senior backend software engineer at Stacklet, you'll build the distributed, event-driven services that turn Cloud Custodian into a platform: the GraphQL API our console and customers run on, the pipelines that execute policies across thousands of cloud accounts, and the asset and cost data stores behind them. You'll be working in a deeply technical domain, designing systems that stay correct and observable while running our customers' governance workloads at scale, across multiple clouds and regions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building backend services in Python
• 3+ years of experience leading backend initiatives and mentoring other engineers
• Strong experience designing and operating distributed, event-driven systems
• Depth with relational databases and an ORM (PostgreSQL, SQLAlchemy, and Alembic)
• Experience designing and evolving APIs consumed by other teams and customers (GraphQL)
• Hands-on experience with AWS and serverless building blocks (Lambda, EventBridge, SNS/SQS, DynamoDB, ECS)
• Experience with infrastructure as code and CI/CD (Terraform, Docker, and GitHub Actions)
• A real testing habit and fluency with a modern test stack (pytest, moto, and a containerized local stack for functional tests)
• Ability to work seamlessly on a distributed software development team in an Agile/DevOps environment
• Good verbal and written communication skills
