[Hiring] Senior Software Engineer @Healthspan

Role Description

We are seeking a talented and experienced engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves working with established technologies to develop and enhance our telemedicine platform. You will be responsible for building scalable, high-performance applications and contributing to our mission of advancing health optimization.

Qualifications

• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Excellent communication skills
• Extensive experience with RESTful API design and implementation, including knowledge of API best practices, security, and performance optimization
• Familiarity with API documentation tools like Swagger, Postman, or OpenAPI
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture and experience in building scalable, distributed systems
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
• Knowledge of version control systems such as Git, and experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Understanding of authentication and authorization mechanisms such as OAuth, JWT, and API keys
• Strong skills in MongoDB: Proficiency in database design, optimization, and management
• Expertise in Node.js: Experience in building scalable server-side applications

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable APIs that meet the needs of our applications and clients
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, and other engineers to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications
• Ensure API security, including implementing authentication, authorization, and encryption mechanisms
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, following best practices and standards
• Optimize API performance, including latency, throughput, and scalability
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to API functionality, performance, and integration
• Mentor junior engineers, providing guidance and technical leadership in API development
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in API development, and continuously improve our API architecture and practices
