Role Description

As a Senior Software Engineer on our web application team, your expertise will be critical in building and evolving the user-facing platform that thousands of healthcare providers depend on daily to deliver proactive, effective care. If you are passionate about creating intuitive, high-performance user experiences and want to own the full stack with an emphasis on front end work that directly impacts clinical workflows, this role could be a great fit.

• Design, build, and own the web application that providers interact with daily.
• Tackle complex technical challenges across the full stack, with a strong emphasis on front end.
• Build high-performance React applications that transform complex healthcare data into clear, actionable user experiences for clinicians.
• Architect and maintain robust Node.js backend services and APIs that power the frontend.
• Ensure data compliance and security at the application layer, including handling protected health information (PHI) and adhering to HIPAA requirements.
• Collaborate closely with the design team and product leadership to translate user needs into elegant, functional features.
• Own technical projects from discovery to delivery with autonomy.
• Drive improvements in application performance, observability, and reliability across distributed infrastructure.
• Mentor and upskill fellow engineers, fostering a strong culture of technical best practices and collaborative growth.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional experience in full-stack software engineering with a primary focus on frontend development.
• Strong proficiency in React and TypeScript, with a proven track record of shipping production applications.
• Experience working in Node.js for backend services, with the ability to design and build APIs.
• Hands-on experience with relational databases and AWS.
• A deep understanding of modern frontend architecture principles and user experience considerations.
• A demonstrated history of building applications that prioritize user experience, accessibility, and data security.
• A history of mentorship and successfully driving technical best practices within a team.

Requirements

• Experience working in healthcare technology or another highly regulated industry, particularly with exposure to HIPAA.
• Familiarity with data pipelines, including working with Python and Terraform.
• Familiarity with healthcare workflows, clinical terminology, or the realities of healthcare software adoption.
• Exposure to design systems and close collaboration with design teams.

Benefits

• Base Salary Range: $150,000 - $200,000 per year.
• Additional Compensation: Eligible for a discretionary performance bonus and equity options.
