[Hiring] Senior Software Engineer @Dotmatics

Role Description

Dotmatics is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Software Engineer who is excited to join a world class team of software engineers and scientists, enabling scientific data analytics for major biopharma and life science researchers.

• Create algorithms and software products for efficient data compression, decompression, and visualization
• Design and develop scalable enterprise and desktop-based software solutions that manage massive amounts of data for PMI’s biopharma customers
• Create scientific data management and visualization products with intuitive UI/UX
• Maintain and support these products deployed at customer sites to optimize adoption
• Document and maintain technical specifications and supporting materials
• Ensure high code quality through automated and rigorous unit tests, code reviews, and adhering to coding standards
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and routine stand-ups
• Work with cross-functional teams across the globe to ensure high-quality product delivery and maintenance for PMI customers

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, or a related field
• 8+ years of experience in software engineering
• Strong expertise in full-stack development, algorithm design, and high-performance systems
• Proven ability to deliver scalable, reliable software in a collaborative agile environment

Requirements

• Python and C++
• Extensive experience in developing web-based software applications (React, JavaScript, CSS)
• Algorithm development and optimization
• Server and backend architecture and development (NodeJS, database)
• Real-time performance optimization and parallel processing such as multi-threading and GPU (scalability, robustness)
