Role Description

We are seeking a Senior Software Developer in Test (SDET) with deep expertise in test automation and hands-on experience leveraging AI-powered tools (including LLMs such as Claude) to enhance quality engineering practices. In this role, you will help shape the future of test automation by combining strong software engineering fundamentals with intelligent automation strategies, ensuring quality, scalability, and efficiency across complex systems. This role partners closely with Software Engineering, DevOps, Product, and System Implementation teams to embed quality throughout the development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Test Automation & Quality Engineering
  • Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test frameworks for UI, API, integration, and end-to-end testing.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and scalable test code using modern programming languages and frameworks.
  • Embed automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure fast, reliable feedback and release confidence.
  • Lead efforts to improve overall test strategy, coverage, reliability, and execution speed.
• AI & Intelligent Automation
  • Leverage AI tools and large language models (LLMs), such as Claude, to:
    • Accelerate test creation and maintenance.
    • Improve test readability and coverage.
    • Assist with test data generation, troubleshooting, and failure analysis.
    • Identify opportunities to use AI for automation efficiency, self-healing tests, and quality insights.
  • Partner with engineering teams to experiment with and operationalize AI-assisted testing approaches.
• Technical Leadership
  • Serve as a quality advocate and trusted technical leader within agile teams.
  • Review test code and automation designs, providing mentorship and best practices.
  • Collaborate with developers to improve testability, observability, and system resilience.
  • Help define automation standards, tooling, and architectural direction.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software test automation or quality engineering.
• Programming experience in one or more languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or C#.
• Hands-on experience with automation frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, REST-assured, pytest, and Criterion).
• Solid understanding of API testing, microservice, and distributed systems.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, Azure DevOps).

Nice to Have Qualifications

• Experience/Understanding with telecom protocols (such as SIP, TCAP), MLP, REST protocols, C programming language, SMPP, TCP/SCTP/Diameter.
• Familiarity with software development frameworks (e.g., .NET, React, Angular, Springboot) and tools (e.g., Git, Jenkins, JIRA).
• Basic knowledge of database management systems (e.g., SQL, NoSQL, MySQL).
• Knowledge of performance, security, or reliability testing.
• Exposure to Linux-based environments.

AI & Automation Experience

• Practical experience using AI or LLM-based tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot) to support software development or test automation.
• Comfort applying AI independently to enhance productivity, quality, and problem-solving.
• Ability to evaluate where AI adds value vs. traditional automation approaches.
• Experience automating workflows, generating test assets, or analyzing results using AI-assisted techniques.
