[Hiring] Senior Smart Contract Engineer @CoinList

Role Description

We have a strong engineering team with deep expertise in infrastructure, blockchain, and specialized domains. We are looking for a smart contract engineer who can build smart contracts to integrate with different asset providers (Ondo, Centrifuge, etc.). Those smart contracts act as a proxy between our users and the underlying assets. They offer a common interface so we can build similar products on top of them.

You'd be joining a small engineering team and directly reporting to the CTO in a greenfield-heavy environment where your work directly affects velocity, company direction, and revenue.

What You'll Do

• You’ll ship contracts to mainnet, primarily investing in Solidity on EVM chains.
• You’ll design contract systems, including boundaries, interfaces, storage layout, upgrade strategy, access control, and emergency paths.
• You’ll be an owner, taking responsibility for meaningful work within a small team.
• You’ll treat security as a priority, conducting adversarial reviews, fuzzing tests, and monitoring.
• You’ll rapidly grow and improve, working with smart engineers and having opportunities to extend your craft to Rust and the Solana runtime.

Qualifications

• Over 7 years of professional working experience, including at least 2 years of writing Solidity that reached production.
• Deep knowledge of the EVM, including storage layout, gas mechanics, and ABI encoding.
• Familiarity with modern Solidity patterns such as proxies, role-based access control, and reentrancy defenses.
• Real tooling and testing discipline with Foundry or Hardhat.
• Ability to think like an attacker before shipping code.
• Commitment to shipping high-quality code and meeting deadlines.

Other Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Rust and Anchor, or Solana programs in production.
• Depth in DeFi protocols, including lending, AMMs, and staking.
• Knowledge of account abstraction (ERC-4337) and smart accounts.

Remote Work & Time Zones

• Fully remote, U.S. based.
• Comfortable overlapping some hours with non-US time zones.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: $170,000 – $190,000 (based on experience and jurisdiction).
