[Hiring] Senior Python Engineer @Ciklum

Role Description

Ciklum is looking for a Senior Python Engineer to join our team full-time in Ukraine. As a Senior Python Engineer, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow.

Our Client is an Israeli technology company that develops 4D imaging radar chipsets and perception solutions for advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) and autonomous vehicles (AV). Its proprietary radar technology delivers ultra-high resolution environmental sensing, providing detailed range, velocity, azimuth, and elevation data that helps vehicles detect, track, and classify objects in all weather and lighting conditions. These solutions are designed to enable safer driver-assist features today and support higher levels of vehicle autonomy in the future. The company’s products include radar chipsets and perception radar systems used by automotive OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers globally.

Responsibilities:

• Independently drive technical excellence by providing mentorship, constructive feedback, and guidance to peers, while taking full ownership of complex engineering tasks and delivering high-quality solutions autonomously.
• Design, develop, and maintain the core backend architecture of our Data platform.
• Take ownership of end-to-end development processes, from design to deployment.
• Build and deploy scalable APIs, micro-services, and systems that enable seamless Data processing workflows.
• Research and integrate advanced technologies to improve system scalability and reliability.
• Ensure code quality through testing, code reviews, and best practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software backend engineering, at least 3 years specifically in Python (we use fastAPI).
• Experience contributing to the design and development of software systems from the ground up.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS / GCP / Azure).
• Experience with relational (Postgres) and non-relational databases (Redis).
• Experience with containerization technologies and concepts (Docker, or equivalent) and cloud orchestration (Batch, EKS, StepFunctions, etc).
• Experience using and maintaining CI/CD tools (like: Gitlab, Jenkins).
• Understanding of strategies to analyze and improve system performance.

• Proven knowledge in building and maintaining web applications (we use React).
• Experience with building and running AI Agents.
