[Hiring] Senior Platform Virtual Machine Engineer @Launch Legends

Role Description

This role involves joining Launch Legends (and Autheo) as a part-time Equity Cofounder, focusing on bridging Web3 blockchain technology with Web2 integration.

• Own the world’s first cryptographically native virtual machine
• Execute encrypted WASM smart contracts at 0.4 μs per opcode
• Deliver sub-microsecond execution speeds and billions of transactions per second throughput
• Build a DAG-based parallel interpreter
• Embed fully homomorphic execution directly in the opcode set
• Implement in-VM zk-proof generation and verification
• Deliver native SGX/TrustZone support
• Ship post-quantum cryptographic opcodes
• Design state compression and encrypted linear memory
• Build a zero-config multi-language SDK
• Enable GPU-native parallel execution of independent contract shards

Qualifications

• 8+ years building production virtual machines or WASM runtimes in Rust
• Multiple mainnet-grade execution engines achieving ≥100 M TPS
• Hands-on FHE and zk-proof integration into instruction sets
• Deep expertise in JIT/AOT, secure enclaves, memory safety, and formal verification
• Proven 10×+ performance over EVM/SVM baselines

Requirements

• Core contributor to Wasmtime, Lucet, Firecracker, or blockchain VMs (EVM, SVM, Move)
• First-author papers at top systems or security conferences
• Patents in encrypted execution, zk-VMs, or post-quantum runtimes

First 90-Day Deliverables

• Production VM executing encrypted contracts at 0.4 μs/opcode, 1 B+ TPS
• Live FHE opcode set performing computation on encrypted state
• In-VM zk-proof engine verifying transitions in 1–5 ms
• Full SGX/TrustZone 1 TB memory + attestation support
• Multi-language SDK deploying to live rollups in one command
• Open-source encrypted VM core → 2,000+ stars
• Accepted paper + keynote at WasmCon 2026
