[Hiring] Senior Java Engineer @Space Inch

Role Description

Space Inch continues to grow! Following a string of successful hires, we keep on growing our engineering team. We are looking for a Senior Java Engineer to contribute to one of our longest-running and most successful projects. You’ll be part of an established Space Inch engineering team while also collaborating closely with our client’s team - a major global FinTech corporation in the field of investment management with multiple long-term initiatives underway.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and Build: Design, develop, and deploy high-quality applications and microservices, owning the backend architecture and coding standards.
• Collaborate: Work closely with other developers, product managers, and cross-functional teams (including client teams) to translate requirements into elegant technical solutions.
• Quality First: Write clean, maintainable code, conduct thorough code reviews, mentor other developers, and share your knowledge.
• Iterate: Debug and optimize existing software to ensure maximum performance and reliability.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software development, with 5+ years specifically in Java (Spring and Spring Boot).
• Strong general backend knowledge.
• Strong experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL; bonus points for NoSQL DBs (e.g. MongoDB).
• Knowledge of Docker and working within Azure environments.
• Familiarity with modern TypeScript standards and frontend frameworks (Vue.js is preferred, but React/Angular experience is welcomed).
• Experience with CI/CD practices and tools.
• Familiarity with DevOps, Kubernetes, and general Cloud infrastructure.
• Familiarity with security best practices and web tokens (JWT).
