Role Description

AttainX, Inc. is in search of a highly energetic Programmer/Analyst who can provide development and support services for our government client. The candidate’s primary focus will be on back-end systems in support of the data warehouse ETL processes.

Qualifications

• At least six (6) years of Software Development experience, with at least three (3) focused on Java Development.
• Demonstrated experience with Java application development, with proficiency in functional programming patterns including lambdas, streams, and the Java functional interfaces.
• Experience using JetBrains development tools, specifically IntelliJ IDEA for development and DataGrip for database work or familiarity with Oracle SQL Developer.
• Working knowledge of relational database development using Oracle, with demonstrated ability to write and optimize queries.
• Working familiarity with PostgreSQL is required.
• Experience with data warehouse design principles, including star schema modeling, fact and dimension table structures, and dimensional data organization.
• Experience developing and consuming RESTful web services using Protocol Buffers (protobuf) for service contracts.
• Familiarity with OpenID Connect (OIDC) for API authentication and authorization is required.
• Proficiency with API development and testing tools (e.g., Bruno, Insomnia, Postman, or equivalent) for constructing and validating HTTP GET and POST requests.
• Experience with the Hibernate ORM framework and Maven build tooling.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related (preferred).
• Experience with cloud development environments, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including artifact repositories, CI/CD build pipelines, and Pub/Sub messaging for event-driven data propagation.
• Familiarity with database table partitioning strategies and query performance tuning, with preference for PostgreSQL-specific optimization techniques.
