[Hiring] Senior Fullstack Engineer @Nortal

Role Description

Join Nortal for your next big adventure. We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Ruby on Rails & React) to join our team, grow with us, and teach us a few things along the way.

About the project:

• Join a product engineering team for a growing platform company in the fintech and alternative asset management space.
• Act as a self-sufficient, trusted technical partner to Product Managers and project leadership.
• Help plan, build, and deliver features across the company's core platform.
• Bring together strong full-stack engineering skills, mentorship, and modern AI-assisted development practices to drive high-quality, consistent delivery.

What you’ll do:

• Own the timing, coordination, and follow-up for your assigned projects and initiatives, working self-sufficiently while knowing when to ask for help.
• Partner directly with Product Managers on scoping, planning, and prioritization of features across the platform.
• Design, build, and ship high-quality code at a consistent pace using Ruby on Rails and React, with regular status communication.
• Mentor and coach junior engineers on best practices, code quality, and problem-solving approaches.
• Contribute to and help improve team processes and procedures, supporting a culture of continuous improvement.
• Incorporate AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code) into your daily engineering workflow to accelerate delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar.
• Strong hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails and React.
• Proven track record operating at a Senior engineer level (or equivalent).
• Comfortable working directly with Product Managers, not just other engineers.
• Experience mentoring or coaching junior engineers.
• Solid debugging and problem-solving skills across the stack.
• Strong communication skills, both async and in real time.
• Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools as part of your daily workflow.
• Preferred: experience with Salesforce, or exposure to fintech, private capital, or alternative asset management.
• Advanced English Level is required for this role, as you will work with US clients.
