Role Description

Full time - Contractor

As a FullStack Engineer at CodeRoad, you will:

• Architect & Build Scalable Systems: Design, build, and maintain high-throughput, low-latency backend microservices and responsive web interfaces handling billions of item identities.
• Anchor API & Data Engineering: Take ownership of end-to-end feature delivery, designing resilient RESTful APIs, optimizing Oracle PL/SQL and MySQL database schemas, and leading legacy-to-modern architecture migrations.
• Drive System Reliability & Observability: Diagnose complex production bottlenecks, tune low-level application performance, and establish proactive monitoring utilizing New Relic, Splunk, and JMeter load testing.
• Champion Engineering & Delivery Standards: Enforce rigorous code quality standards, lead comprehensive technical reviews, and optimize automated CI/CD deployment pipelines via Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner directly with U.S. product managers, architects, and UI/UX designers to translate multi-faceted business roadmaps into clean, production-ready technical solutions.
• Leverage Next-Gen Developer Workflows: Integrate AI-assisted engineering tools and best practices to accelerate velocity, optimize code refactoring (including ExtJS to React transitions), and elevate team execution.

Qualifications

• 4+ Years of Professional Experience: Proven background delivering enterprise-grade solutions as a FullStack Engineer with a heavy backend orientation.
• Strong Backend Core: Deep expertise in Java (including Java 21) and the Spring/Spring Boot ecosystem, paired with advanced proficiency in relational data engineering (Oracle PL/SQL, MySQL).
• Modern & Legacy Frontend Fluency: Solid hands-on experience using modern JavaScript (ES6+) and ReactJS, with the versatility to navigate legacy frontends (ExtJS).
• Cloud & DevOps Acumen: Practical exposure to cloud infrastructure in AWS, containerization with Docker and Kubernetes, and CI/CD automation through Jenkins.
• Ownership & Modern Workflows: High accountability, proactive problem-solving mindset, and hands-on familiarity utilizing AI-assisted developer tooling to enhance software delivery.
• Advanced English Communication: Mandatory full professional fluency (written and verbal) for direct, synchronous technical collaboration with U.S. stakeholders.

Requirements

• Valued Extras (Nice to Have): Background in supply chain/item-chain management, event-driven messaging (Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ), and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
