[Hiring] Senior Full-Stack Engineer @Lokalise

Role Description

We're looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to join our Engineering team and help build and improve the products and systems behind Lokalise. You'll work closely with Product, Design, other engineers, and stakeholders to:

• Identify and solve meaningful customer problems
• Improve existing experiences
• Shape what we build next

Each of our engineering teams owns a product domain at Lokalise, from vision to delivery. Teams talk to customers, uncover their pains and needs, define their own goals, and choose how to solve the problems that matter most.

We’re hiring across multiple domains, so you’ll own a real piece of the product and see your impact firsthand.

We're building an AI-native engineering culture where engineers take ownership of problems, not just implementation. You will:

• Own problems end to end, from discovery and design to production and iteration
• Build, test, and maintain features across the stack, with clean, scalable, and maintainable code
• Build modern applications with React, TanStack Router, and modular-react on the frontend, and Node.js, Fastify, Drizzle on the backend
• Work in a Dockerized TypeScript environment with Vitest and Playwright for testing
• Partner with Product and Design to shape what we build, focusing on outcomes for customers rather than sheer output
• Champion AI-native engineering across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and help the team raise the bar on speed and quality
• Run what you build by taking part in the on-duty rotation for the services you're responsible for and leading the improvements that keep them reliable
• Mentor other engineers and champion engineering excellence

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building and maintaining production software
• Strong hands-on experience in Node.js, TypeScript, and React
• Ability to work across different systems and technologies
• Strong full-stack fundamentals: modern frontend architecture, API design, message queues, relational databases, and cloud
• Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools
• A strong product engineering mindset
• A strong sense of ownership
• Strong collaboration skills
• A track record of leading complex projects end to end
• Strong quality and testing habits
• Excellent problem-solving, communication skills, attention to detail, and a genuine drive to keep learning

Requirements

• Experience working in an open-source community as a maintainer or a contributor (a plus)
• Familiarity with the localization industry and software localization (a plus)
