[Hiring] Senior Frontend Engineer @Toast

Role Description

Join Toast's frontend engineering team and be at the forefront of business transformation and revenue acceleration. Our team directly impacts Toast's growth by reshaping the end-to-end sales funnel, enabling self-service at scale, and optimizing customer onboarding.

• Architect and implement innovative eCommerce and sales tools that drive ARR growth and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Design, architect and implement the front-end experience for our eCommerce and sales tool applications in collaboration with product management and designers.
• Follow best practices for testing front-end applications, including unit, integration and end-to-end testing.
• Review code to ensure technical implementation meets functional requirements.
• Ship code that has a massive impact on the growth of Toast and its customers.
• Leverage cutting edge AI tools to enhance your development workflow, improve velocity, and help pioneer new approaches to building.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience building and scaling frontend ecommerce applications.
• Proficiency in React, JavaScript/TypeScript and related front end tools.
• Strong understanding of eCommerce specific challenges such as pricing, promotions, product bundling, checkout optimizations and user personalization.
• Experience with testing frameworks, writing unit and integration tests and believing in automation to maintain software quality.
• Know how to prioritize technical requirements and design needs.
• Growth mindset with an emphasis on learning and self/team-improvement.
• Passionate about the restaurant industry.
• Enjoy working in a team environment with a shared code-base.

• Base salary range: $134,000 — $214,000 USD.
• Cash compensation (overtime, bonus/commissions, if eligible).
