Role Description

We are looking for a Senior Frontend Developer for one of our most well-established products - Cupid Media.

• Front-End Development:
  • Lead the development of robust and user-friendly web applications using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Implement responsive design principles to ensure optimal performance across various devices and screen sizes.
• Architectural Design:
  • Participate in the architectural design and planning of web applications.
  • Collaborate with back-end developers and other stakeholders to integrate front-end components seamlessly.
  • Be able to suggest improvements to existing front end architecture designs.
• Frameworks and Libraries:
  • Utilise front-end frameworks and libraries to build scalable and maintainable applications.
  • Understanding of modern architectural patterns used to build modern web applications.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in front-end development.
• Code Reviews and Quality Assurance:
  • Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure code quality, adherence to coding standards, and best practices.
  • Implement and advocate for testing strategies to maintain the reliability of the codebase.
• Performance Optimisation:
  • Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks to ensure optimal page load times and responsiveness.
  • Implement techniques to enhance the overall speed and efficiency of web applications.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers to implement visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces.
  • Work closely with back-end developers to integrate front-end components with server-side logic.
• Leadership and Mentorship:
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior front-end developers.
  • Share knowledge and best practices to foster a collaborative and learning-oriented team environment.
  • Demonstration of thought leadership, by always looking to improve the current implementation.
  • Work with the CTO and other senior leadership to ensure that ideas are discussed and validated.
• Problem Solving:
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues, ensuring timely resolution of technical challenges.
  • Propose innovative solutions to improve the user experience and application functionality.

Qualifications

• Excellent skills with JavaScript/TypeScript, CSS & HTML5
• Experience with React framework.
• Experience with the Tailwindcss framework.
• Experience with security aspects of UI development, including OWASP, CORS policy, etc.
• Experience with Git & GitHub version control tools and processes.
• Experience developing mobile/web applications.
• Experience using debugging tools relevant to the product.
• Experience with bug management software (e.g. JIRA).
