Role Description

As part of the development team, the Front End Developer shall focus on developing user interface components for our web application and ensuring that these components are robust and easy to maintain. The current tech stack for this position requires proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, CSS, and React, with the potential to expand as new technologies become available to the industry. The responsibilities of this position shall require close collaboration with the Design team and the other members of the Product team.

In addition to core frontend skills, expertise in Cypress, Playwright, Storybook, Chromatic, or similar visual regression tools is essential, with a strong focus on testing and quality assurance. This position is designed for someone with substantial experience in both frontend development and testing.

What You’ll Be Doing

• UI/UX Development: Develop new user-facing features, build reusable components and libraries for future use.
• Code Quality: Ensure UI/UX designs' technical feasibility, optimize applications for speed and scalability, and maintain coding standards.
• Collaboration: Collaborate closely with design and backend teams for web application enhancement, participating in code reviews to uphold code quality.
• Tech Stack: Address performance and scalability issues and convert complex Figma designs into CSS/JS code, primarily using JavaScript libraries like React, ensuring seamless backend integration.
• Maintenance & Optimization: Maintain and improve existing codebases, ensuring standard adherence through peer code reviews.
• Automated Testing: Take charge of automated testing processes, including writing and maintaining test scripts using tools like Cypress, Playwright, and Storybook, ensuring consistent quality and reliability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in JavaScript and core concepts
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in TypeScript
• 5+ years of experience with React and Single-Page Applications (SPA)
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in HTML5, CSS3
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in GraphQL and Apollo
• 2+ years of experience with modern CSS/SCSS/Less/CSS-in-JS development
• Strong experience with visual regression tools such as Cypress, Playwright, Storybook, Chromatic, or similar
• Experience with Ant Design or TailwindCSS
• Excellent communication skills, team player, and service-oriented mindset
• Passionate about software development
• Able to take responsibility for the project
• Region: Europe - CET (+1/-1)

Nice to Have

• Experience with data visualization frameworks such as Chart.js, Google Charts, etc.
• Experience with AWS technologies
• React Native
