[Hiring] Senior Front-End Web Developer @Bamboo Works

We’re helping a Swiss-based digital agency find a Senior Front-End Web Developer (WordPress) to join their long-term, international team.

This role is focused purely on front-end development and UI execution. You’ll work on high-quality WordPress websites, custom themes, and e-commerce platforms, collaborating closely with designers and back-end developers across Switzerland, Latvia, and Spain.

This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who takes pride in pixel-perfect execution, performance, and clean front-end architecture, and who wants a long-term position in a quality-driven environment.

Role Details

• Commitment: Full-Time (Long-Term)

• Schedule: Swiss working hours (GMT+2)

• Location: Fully Remote

• Engagement: Independent Contractor

• Start Date: ASAP

• Monthly Rate: $1500–$2500 (depending on experience)

What You’ll Do

Front-End Development & UI Execution

• Build and maintain custom WordPress front-ends, focusing on clean, responsive, and high-performing UI.

• Implement designs with pixel-level accuracy using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.

• Translate Figma designs and prototypes into polished, production-ready interfaces.

• Collaborate with designers on responsive layouts, UI refinements, and usability improvements.

• Work with custom WordPress themes and theme builders (e.g. UTheme, WooTheme).

Performance & Quality

• Optimize front-end performance, load speed, and responsiveness.

• Implement front-end best practices for accessibility, maintainability, and scalability.

• Manage front-end caching considerations and performance-related UI decisions.

Collaboration & Ownership

• Work closely with back-end developers to ensure seamless integration.

• Collaborate across multiple international projects with designers, PMs, and developers.

• Communicate clearly, take ownership of deliverables, and proactively flag issues or improvements.

What We’re Looking For

Must-Haves

• 5+ years of professional experience as a Front-End Web Developer, ideally in WordPress-heavy environments.

• Strong expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.

• Proven experience implementing designs from Figma into responsive, high-quality websites.

• Solid understanding of WordPress front-end architecture, themes, and customization.

• Experience working in agency-style environments handling multiple projects.

• Comfortable using Git for version control and collaboration.

• Excellent written and spoken English.

• Extremely high attention to detail — you double-check your own work and care deeply about quality.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with custom theme builders (UTheme, WooTheme, or similar).

• Familiarity with ACF from a front-end perspective.

• Experience with e-commerce front-ends (WooCommerce).

• Understanding of front-end performance optimization and caching concepts.
