[Hiring] Senior Engineer - Automation @Blattner

Role Description

As a Senior Engineer – Automation, you'll play a key role in developing innovative automation solutions that improve engineering efficiency, accuracy, and productivity across utility-scale renewable energy projects. You'll independently design, develop, and maintain engineering tools, custom software, scripts, data pipelines, and AI-enabled workflows that streamline design, estimating, and project engineering processes.

• Collaborate with civil, structural, geotechnical, electrical, and electrical studies teams to identify opportunities for automation.
• Solve complex technical challenges and develop tools that simplify engineering workflows.
• Lead automation initiatives from concept through deployment.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies, improve data accuracy, reduce manual processes, and enhance engineering quality.

Qualifications

• Minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience is required, including two (2) years of code-writing experience.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License.
• Minimal travel required.

Requirements

• Experience in mentoring or providing technical guidance to junior engineers or developers is preferred.
• Experience automating engineering, design, or estimating workflows is preferred.
• Previous engineering or construction-related experience in a related industry (e.g., heavy civil, industrial, utilities, power generation) is preferred; renewables-focused experience is a plus.
• Experience developing engineering automation tools, custom software, scripts, and data-driven solutions that improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, C#, or similar languages, with experience integrating engineering software and automating technical workflows.
