Role Description

We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer with deep experience in the Retirement / Financial domain to lead the modernization of legacy applications. The ideal candidate is an expert in Java (preferably Java 18 - 21) and React, with a proven track record in legacy system migration, cloud integration, and CI/CD automation. You will play a key role in re-architecting mission-critical systems to modern standards using AWS and industry-best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications using Java 21, React, and JavaScript.
• Modernize legacy systems and migrate them to updated frameworks and architectures.
• Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, code comments, clear and efficient code.
• Collaborate with architects and business stakeholders to define and implement technical solutions within the Retirement/Benefits domain.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and manage deployments on AWS.
• Utilize GitHub Copilot to enhance development productivity and maintain code quality.
• Perform code reviews, provide mentorship to junior developers, and ensure adherence to best practices.
• Analyze and optimize application performance and scalability.
• Maintain and query relational databases, primarily Oracle DB.
• Track and manage project work using JIRA and follow Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software development experience with strong proficiency in Java (including Java 21) and React.
• Solid understanding of front-end technologies like HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+).
• Proven experience in legacy system modernization, including code refactoring, re-platforming, and technology stack upgrades.
• Exposure to microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle DB & Postgres DB, including performance tuning and complex SQL queries.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, and source control using GitHub.
• Cloud experience, preferably AWS, with knowledge of services like EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and CloudFormation.
• Familiarity with AI-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments using JIRA.

Requirements

• Prior experience in the Retirement, Pension, or Financial Services domain.
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
