Role Description

This role uses a broad range of functional and technical skills toward the build-out and integration of custom WWT applications and third-party vendor systems and products. This position plays a crucial role in the design, development, and deployment of software solutions. This employee will leverage their experience to contribute and help drive complex projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure the delivery of high-quality software products.

This role is expected to adopt an AI‑first mindset, actively leveraging modern AI‑powered development tools to improve development speed, code quality, testing effectiveness, and overall delivery outcomes. The Sr. Developer will continuously explore and apply AI capabilities to enhance software design, implementation, documentation, and problem-solving, while advocating for responsible, effective AI usage across the team.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters or MBA degree in preferably Computer Science or Computer Programming or 5+ years of experience in a related field
• Experience with Javascript and Node.js
• Experience with Python
• Front end: Vue.js (or comparable modern framework), TypeScript, HTML/CSS, REST/GraphQL API consumption
• Experience with object-oriented development and data sources such as Oracle, MongoDB, and PostgresSQL
• Familiarity with Java and Spring Boot is a plus
• Experience or familiarity in AI tooling such as LLM-backed services, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), prompt design, and agentic or MCP-based integrations
• Exposure to containerization and cloud deployment (Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift, or a major cloud provider) preferred
• Demonstrated experience using AI tools to support software development activities such as coding, refactoring, debugging, testing, and documentation
• Strong ability to assess, validate, and refine AI-generated outputs to ensure correctness, maintainability, performance, and adherence to coding standards
• Ability to approach technical problems with an AI-first perspective
• Test first mindset with experience in test automation, unit, functional, end-to-end, and regression testing
• Ability to critically analyze and decompose complex technical requirements
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
• Collaborative and team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills
• Highly responsible self-starter/team-oriented individual with very strong work ethic
