Role Description

• Design and implement automation solutions to improve developer productivity and system reliability.
• Build and maintain shared platform services, libraries, and infrastructure components.
• Develop integration patterns and tooling for internal and third-party systems.
• Provide architectural guidance and technical consultation to engineering teams.
• Implement contract testing strategies to reduce integration issues.
• Work with authentication and identity systems across platforms.
• Contribute to event-driven architectures and asynchronous processing systems.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and architecture decisions.
• Participate in code reviews and define engineering best practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• 2+ years in a senior or platform-focused role.
• Strong proficiency in at least one backend language (Ruby preferred or Python).
• Working knowledge of Node.js or Go.
• Strong experience with AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, Cognito, DynamoDB, SQS, SNS).
• Solid understanding of microservices, APIs, and distributed systems.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with infrastructure as code.
• Experience with deployment automation.
• Familiarity with event-driven systems and messaging patterns.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to use AI tools to enhance development efficiency, code quality, and delivery speed.

Requirements

• Experience with contract testing tools (e.g., Pact).
• Experience with identity federation (SAML, OAuth, Azure AD / Entra ID).
• Experience with WebSockets or real-time systems.
• Experience building internal developer tools, SDKs, or shared libraries.
• Exposure to healthcare environments or compliance (HIPAA / HiTrust).
