Role Description

A global client seeks the coding talents of a Senior Asterisk Developer with strong Full-Stack Software Engineering and VoIP infrastructure experience to design, develop, and optimize enterprise telephony solutions and call center software platforms. You will be responsible for the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) from integrating Asterisk dial plans and SIP trunks to building custom web management dashboards, RESTful APIs, and automated reporting systems. You will work across both voice protocols and web frameworks to deliver scalable, high-performance communications software.

The successful candidate must have 8+ years of hands-on Software Development and System Architecture experience with excellent analytical ability to trace SIP handshakes, debug dial plans, and resolve production issues under pressure. Your core tech tools should include:

• Asterisk (Core, AMI, AGI, ARI)
• FreePBX
• Elastix
• SIP, IAX, RTP, WebRTC
• IVRs and CDR reporting
• PHP, Python, Java, Go (Golang), or JavaScript (Node.js/jQuery)
• HTML5, CSS3, RESTful APIs, JSON, AJAX
• MySQL, SQLite, SQL
• Linux

Qualifications

• 8+ Years of hands-on Software Development and System Architecture experience
• Excellent analytical ability to trace SIP handshakes, debug dial plans, and resolve production issues under pressure
• Strong sense of accountability and self-motivation
• Ability to manage projects independently or lead technical initiatives
• Ability to write clear technical/API documentation
• Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Requirements

• Core Technical Skills:
  • VoIP / Telephony: Asterisk (Core, AMI, AGI, ARI), FreePBX, Elastix, SIP, IAX, RTP, WebRTC, IVRs, and CDR reporting
  • Programming Languages: PHP, Python, Java, Go (Golang), or JavaScript (Node.js/jQuery)
  • Web Technologies: HTML5, CSS3, RESTful APIs, JSON, AJAX, and modern web application frameworks
  • Databases: MySQL, SQLite, SQL optimization, and relational database architecture
  • Operating Systems & Servers: Strong Linux Server Administration (Ubuntu, CentOS), Apache, Nginx, Shell Scripting (Bash/sh)
  • Version Control & DevOps: Git, GitHub, Docker (basic containerization)
• Professional & Personal Attributes:
  • Senior SDLC Experience: 8+ Years of hands-on Software Development and System Architecture experience
  • Problem-Solving & Debugging: Excellent analytical ability to trace SIP handshakes, debug dial plans, and resolve production issues under pressure
  • Ownership & Initiative: Strong sense of accountability, self-motivation, and ability to manage projects independently or lead technical initiatives
