[Hiring] Senior Application Developer, Integrations @Genesys

Role Description

Be the one building AI-powered experiences where they matter most. As a Sr Application Developer, Integrations, you will own cloud-native solutions that move data and actions securely across Salesforce, Zuora Billing, Workday, and the AWS services supporting the Order-to-Cash lifecycle.

Your role includes:

• Building the integration foundation that keeps Genesys critical business processes connected, reliable, and ready for AI-enabled automation.
• Shaping integrations end to end, from architecture and API or event design through deployment, observability, and production support.
• Improving the accuracy, scalability, and resilience of business-critical data flows.
• Extending AI capabilities into enterprise workflows using Amazon Bedrock, AWS AI services, and SageMaker-hosted models.
• Influencing integration standards and collaborating across technical and business teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design scalable, cloud-native integrations across Salesforce, Zuora Billing, Workday, and other enterprise platforms.
• Own integration solutions end to end, translating business and technical requirements into maintainable architectures.
• Strengthen Order-to-Cash data integrity by connecting opportunity, quote, order, subscription, invoicing, payment, finance, and worker data.
• Drive reliable platform interoperability by applying various APIs and authentication models.
• Diagnose complex transaction and data failures across system boundaries.
• Develop reproducible, change-controlled AWS serverless environments using infrastructure-as-code practices.
• Improve platform resilience through proactive logging, monitoring, and targeted improvements.
• Build governed AI-enabled integrations using Amazon Bedrock and AWS AI services.
• Design agentic, tool-using workflows with MCP servers and clients or Bedrock Agents.
• Implement secure retrieval-augmented generation patterns.
• Apply responsible AI controls including validation, PII handling, and cost monitoring.
• Accelerate engineering delivery with AI-assisted development tools.
• Influence integration standards through design reviews and collaboration.
• Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 production support, resolving integration failures and documenting insights.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building and supporting cloud-based integration solutions.
• Hands-on proficiency with at least two AWS serverless or messaging services.
• Demonstrated experience designing REST APIs and event-driven messaging architectures.
• Hands-on integration experience with at least one enterprise platform.
• Strong working knowledge of Order-to-Cash processes.
• Practical experience integrating Amazon Bedrock or equivalent AI capabilities.
• Working understanding of production controls for AI-backed integrations.
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code practices.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot distributed systems.
• Strong cross-functional communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building or consuming Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers and clients.
• Experience implementing retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
• Exposure to Amazon SageMaker for hosting or invoking custom machine learning models.
• Familiarity with subscription billing data models.
• Familiarity with integration platform as a service (iPaaS) technologies.
• AWS certification at Developer Associate level or higher.
• Experience applying API documentation and specification standards.
