[Hiring] Senior Android Software Engineer @Accesa

Role Description

Our customer is a global enterprise with core competencies in the Life Science fields of health care and agriculture. Its Crop Science Division is a world-leading agriculture enterprise with businesses in seeds, crop protection and nonagricultural pest control. It markets a broad portfolio of high-value seeds and innovative pest management solutions, while at the same time providing extensive customer service for sustainable agriculture.

The suitable candidate will work on a mobile application available on iOS and Android, written in Flutter (Dart) with some native implementations in C++/Swift/Kotlin, which makes use of GCP/Firebase. Google Analytics is used to track user behavior within the app.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in Android application development, Kotlin, Firebase
• Android operating system knowledge is a plus, e.g., boot sequence, updates, MCU, recovery
• Experience in Android IoT fleet management (FOTA roll-outs, Monitoring, Validating OS firmware, APK rollouts)
• Understanding of Incident- and Problem management particularities (restore services, root cause analysis, debugging, diagnosis)
• Experience with tools for source code and version control such as Git/GitLab
• Mobile Development using Flutter experience
• Ownership mindset for features and system behavior
• Good communication skills
• Structured approach
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent stakeholder management
• Excellent ability to collaborate with other functional and technical roles
• Ability to drive discovery sessions with client counterpart
• Regular use of AI tools to improve productivity, automate or reduce repetitive work, support decision-making, and deliver higher-quality outcomes
• Ability to use AI tools responsibly by structuring effective prompts, critically validating outputs, understanding limitations, and taking ownership of the final result
• Strong communication skills in English

Requirements

• Native experience with Flutter/Swift/C++ (Nice to have)
• Experience with mobile applications for IoT devices, device pairing, diagnostics, connectivity (Nice to have)
• Understanding of Android firmware/app rollout concepts, canary releases, rollback strategies, and device fleet operations (Nice to have)
• Familiarity with AWS-backed systems or serverless architectures (Nice to have)
• Experience with AI-augmented development practices (Nice to have)
• Experience with solutions in the manufacturing/agricultural sector (Nice to have)
