Role Description

As an AI Engineer, you will be a core contributor to the design and development of GenAI-based product frameworks and services that enable natural language interaction, intelligent automation, and agent-based workflows across Feedzai’s ecosystem.

• Work at the intersection of backend engineering, applied AI, and platform development.
• Help multiple product teams build AI-powered features in a secure, scalable, and standardized way.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building complex production software systems.
• Strong programming skills in Java and Python; Scala are a plus.
• Proven experience designing and operating backend services and APIs in cloud-native environments.
• Hands-on experience with Generative AI systems (LLMs, embeddings, vector databases, prompt pipelines, or agent frameworks).
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, reliability engineering, and security principles.
• Experience with continuous delivery, monitoring, and operational ownership of services.
• Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of ambiguous, high-impact technical problems.
• Strong technical communication and collaboration skills.

Requirements

• Experience building AI-powered products or platforms used by external customers.
• Familiarity with LLM gateways, orchestration frameworks, or agent-based architectures.
• Experience with Kubernetes and cloud-native architectures (AWS preferred).
• Understanding of cost optimization and observability for AI workloads.
• Background in fintech, fraud prevention, or other mission-critical domains.
• Contributions to open-source AI or distributed systems projects.
