[Hiring] Salesforce Engineer @Yoga Alliance

Role Description

Reporting to the Director of Digital Experience, Yoga Alliance is seeking a Salesforce Engineer to join our team. Salesforce is the backbone of how we serve our members—it holds their critical information and powers credentialing, membership, and communications. This newly created role will give the platform a dedicated in-house owner who can strengthen and grow Salesforce over time.

This role will:

• Partner cross-functionally with internal teams and externally with the implementation partner to ensure the Salesforce environment is reliable and stable.
• Manage day-to-day requests from members and staff.
• Help deliver improvements on the product roadmap.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce experience across administration and development.
• Salesforce Administrator certification.
• Salesforce Platform App Builder certification.
• Salesforce Platform Developer I certification.
• Strong command of the Salesforce security model: profiles, permission sets, sharing rules, and organizational-wide defaults.
• Hands-on experience with Experience Cloud, Service Cloud, or Marketing Cloud.
• Declarative automation, especially Flow.
• Source control and deployment tooling: Salesforce DX, Git, and CI/CD.
• Coordinating work with external implementation or development partners.
• Working proficiency in Apex, SOQL/SOSL, and Lightning Web Components.
• Familiarity with REST and SOAP API integrations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong project management skills with a proven track record.
• Demonstrated commitment to advancing diversity, equity, inclusion, accessibility, and belonging.
• Curious and proactive in staying abreast of technology and novel ideas.
• Ability to travel as needed to Yoga Alliance’s Arlington, VA office.

Requirements

• Write, test, and maintain Apex (triggers, classes, batch and scheduled jobs) where configuration alone is not enough.
• Build Lightning Web Components for custom interfaces.
• Build and configure member portal experiences on Experience Cloud.
• Support and maintain the platform's integrations over REST and SOAP APIs.
• Write unit tests that meet Salesforce's 75% minimum coverage.
• Run deployments and sandbox refreshes following the release schedule.
• Own user acceptance testing and post-launch stabilization.
• Translate defined business requirements into technical designs.
• Collaborate day-to-day with the external implementation partner.
• Document configuration, customizations, and decisions.
• Track Salesforce releases and adopt relevant features and best practices.
