Role Description

The Developer designs, develops, implements and supports applications to meet business needs of GEHA and subsidiaries. Responsibilities include:

• Designing and developing framework, forms, and content.
• Providing technical leadership to Associate Developers.
• Working closely with the Lead Administrator and technical staff to develop system solutions.
• Consulting with users and technical staff to determine needs and design technology-based solutions.
• Engineering, documenting, and solving complex solutions with oversight from the Architect.
• Communicating project progress and status to the Team Lead.
• Analyzing and implementing application development solutions.
• Troubleshooting, debugging applications, and creating unit tests.
• Developing and maintaining documentation of programs and user guides.
• Conducting tasks and assignments as directed while looking for efficiencies.
• Maintaining knowledge of current and upcoming technologies.
• Mentoring junior developers and conducting code reviews.
• Evaluating existing applications and recommending improvements.
• Participating in sessions, presentations, and meetings.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Four to six years of experience in technology development, including .NET technologies (C#) or SQL development.
• Working knowledge of network operating systems.
• Experience managing third-party resources.
• Understanding of end-user needs and requirements.
• Knowledge of relational database design.
• Effective communication and presentation skills.
• Completed one or more current certifications related to software development.
• Ability to maintain focus and productivity while working on multiple projects simultaneously.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3-5 years Salesforce development experience preferred.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience working with Apex, LWC, Java, and/or JavaScript.
• Salesforce Developer I certification required.
• Salesforce Developer II preferred.
• Salesforce App Builder certification preferred.
• Salesforce Administrator certification preferred.
• Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud is a plus.
• Proven ability to design and develop scalable programmatic solutions in an enterprise environment.
• Strong understanding of Salesforce best practices and functionality.
• Experience working with the Salesforce APIs and building services to connect Salesforce with other systems.
• Experience developing within a framework and complying with defined standards.
• Familiarity with event-driven development preferred.
• Experience in a Healthcare setting preferred.
• Previous experience working in a SCRUM or agile environment preferred.
• Azure DevOps (ADO) experience a plus.
