Role Description

Our client is seeking a skilled Python Engineer with 5-10 years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, high-performance applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Python programming, API development, microservices architecture, cloud technologies, and database management. Experience with modern development practices, automation, and Agile methodologies is essential.

• Design, develop, test, and maintain robust Python applications and services
• Develop RESTful APIs and microservices using FastAPI, Flask, or Django
• Write clean, reusable, and efficient code following best practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable solutions
• Optimize application performance, reliability, and security
• Integrate applications with third-party APIs, databases, and cloud services
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues efficiently
• Develop automated unit, integration, and performance tests
• Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers
• Work in Agile/Scrum teams to deliver high-quality software
• Create and maintain technical documentation for applications and APIs

Qualifications

• Programming: Python (Advanced), OOP, Data Structures & Algorithms, Multithreading, Asynchronous Programming
• Web Frameworks: FastAPI, Flask, Django
• API Development: REST APIs, JSON, OpenAPI/Swagger, OAuth2, JWT
• Databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis
• Cloud & DevOps: AWS, Azure, or GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, Git/GitHub/GitLab/Azure DevOps
• Messaging & Caching: RabbitMQ, Apache Kafka, Redis Cache
• Testing: PyTest, Unit Testing, Integration Testing, Mocking Frameworks

Requirements

• Django (preferred over Flask/FastAPI)
• Kubernetes orchestration
• Apache Kafka
• Jupyter Notebook

Location & Work Model

Fully remote. Candidates must be available to work 1:00 PM - 9:00 PM EST.
