[Hiring] Product Security Engineer @Atlassian

Role Description

Do you love application and platform security and uplifting programs and capabilities? Are you excited at the prospect of enabling thousands of Atlassian product and platform developers to improve the security of their applications and infrastructure and ultimately improve the security of millions of users that use Atlassian products? We're looking for a Security Engineer to join our team who thrives on working with development teams to secure their products across the software development lifecycle.

• Provide technical guidance and promote automation
• Review designs and drive our security teams
• Equip engineering partner teams with the latest tools, techniques, and methodologies to build secure products by default

On your first day, we'll expect you to have:

• Demonstrated expertise and experience working in security-focused roles
• Experience with application security, especially web applications
• Experience in cloud security architecture and infrastructure
• Experience coding in Java, Python, or Go, and at least one scripting language
• Experience providing SME knowledge and guidance to stakeholders and engineering functions

Qualifications

• Published contributions to the security community (great, but not required)
• Presentation experience at industry events (great, but not required)
• Experience working with compliance, privacy, IT, networking or related functions (great, but not required)
