Role Description

This role at Code Metal sits at the intersection of engineering, research, and growth, helping translate emerging opportunities into real technical capabilities.

• Identify and shape new technical opportunities and architectures that expand how Code Metal’s technology is applied in real-world systems for government and commercial users.
• Rapidly investigate new technical domains and evaluate alternative solution paths through analysis, trade studies, and feasibility assessments.
• Translate ambiguous problems into credible technical approaches, system concepts, and proposal content.
• Lead the execution of proof-of-concept (PoC) system designs, collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders on scoping and providing technical judgment throughout.
• Find opportunities to showcase product differentiators when building solutions and PoCs for customers.
• Work across engineering, research, product, and growth teams.

Qualifications

• Strong background in computer science, systems engineering, electrical engineering, physics, or a related technical field.
• Ability to quickly learn about unfamiliar domains and synthesize new technical information.
• Experience working with customers to create solutions and execute successful proofs of concept.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem decomposition skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to contribute to technical proposals.
• Self-starter with an ability to operate independently.
