Role Description

The Principal Cloud Solution Architect is part of the Dev Squad organization working with the Latin America Area HQ team of software engineers that jointly develops strategic projects with customers in the region. The co-development happens in the customer environment and targets a business problem prioritized with LATAM country leaders and customer executives. It aims to materialize innovative scenarios for the customers and contribute to their digital transformation.

• Engages with and reaches out to customers proactively and independently.
• Uses knowledge of customer context, solution or portfolio expertise, and technical and industry knowledge to build credibility with customers.
• Actively codes in C#, Java, Golang or any other language stack that might be necessary in the project.
• Leads and ensures technical wins for core and adjacent technologies by leading technical discussions with customers.
• Establishes rules of engagement for extended teams, leveraging knowledge of processes, tools, and programs.
• Participates on a team of software engineers as an architect and active developer working with customers and partners.
• Works under Agile/SCRUM and Dev Ops best practices as part of a development team.
• Actively up-skills during the project timeframe and between projects.
• Tech leads projects as a SCRUM lead and main architect.
• Captures core competitive knowledge and delivers back to product and engineering teams.
• Provides strategic, technical, and partner input based on Microsoft capability at the account level.
• Demonstrates and oversees demonstrations of products, services, and integration through initial engagements.
• Works with customers and other team members in co-designing and delivering MVP projects.
• Presents and applies architecture patterns to partners or customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Liberal Arts, or related field AND 7+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, IT consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting OR equivalent experience.

Requirements

• 6+ years technical pre-sales, technical consulting, technology delivery, or related experience.
• 4+ years’ experience with cloud and hybrid, or on-premises infrastructures, architecture designs, migrations, industry standards, and/or technology management.
• 6+ years experience working in a customer-facing role.
• 4+ years of experience working as a hands-on developer, coding with enterprise customers in recent years.
• Certification in relevant technologies or disciplines (e.g., Office 365, Power BI, Azure Architect and Development exams).

Benefits

• Cloud Solution Architecture IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 - $251,900 per year.
• Different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, is USD $165,600 - $272,300 per year.
