[Hiring] PLM Configuration Specialist @SSI ShipConstructor

Role Description

The SSI PLM Configuration Specialist plays a key role as a member of the Enterprise Solutions team with a strong emphasis on the development and custom configuration of a ShipbuildingPLM client-specific solution.

• Collaborate with a larger SSI Platform implementation and SME team.
• Engage with clients through remote meetings with minimal travel.
• Flexibility in working hours to accommodate client time zones.
• Work fully remotely, or in a hybrid or in-office capacity at SSI offices in Mobile, AL, USA, or Victoria, BC, Canada.

Responsibilities include:

• Develop and configure client-specific PLM solutions as part of an agile, cross-functional team.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to plan, design, and develop new PLM features, customizations, and enhancements.
• Interpret requirements and translate them into scalable and maintainable software solutions within the PLM platform.
• Support the Enterprise Solutions team in client solution deployment, troubleshooting, and providing technical guidance.
• Participate in code reviews and quality assurance (QA) testing.
• Create and maintain high-quality technical documentation, including development specifications and user guides.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in software engineering, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with configuration/development of PLM/Engineering Change Processes required.
• Proven experience with JavaScript and C# required.
• Microsoft SQL Server experience required.
• Exposure to CAD and Design Review applications is desired.
• Proficient in both written and spoken English.
