Role Description

ECS is seeking an experienced NIH NIAID Enabling and Advancing Technologies (NEAT) Systems Architect I to work remotely providing custom development services in support of core task Enterprise Product Management and responds to a wide range of projects and special needs related support for CIB’s mission.

Please Note: This position is contingent upon contract award.

The NIAID NEAT Systems Architect I serves as the Tech Lead and provides custom development services in support of core task Enterprise Product Management and responds to a wide range of projects and special needs related support for CIB's mission.

• Establishes system information requirements based on engineer analysis.
• Designs architecture to support software, hardware, and communication requirements.
• Ensures system compatibility and compliance with open system architecture standards.
• Analyzes workflow problems and develops corrective actions.
• Provides daily supervision and direction to staff.
• Integration between Enterprise Clinical Informatics Systems (COTS or Custom).
• Development of Enterprise Clinical Informatics Systems when COTS does not exist or meet NIAID's requirements.

Qualifications

• Expertise in system architecture design.
• Strong analytical skills to evaluate workflows and develop corrective actions.
• Knowledge of open system architecture standards.
• Prior experience in providing daily supervision and direction to staff.
• Proficiency in using analytical tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security or related field.
• Active Public Trust or higher security clearance.
• Minimum 6 years’ experience supporting Health IT software development initiatives leveraging Agile and DevOps/DevSecOps practices leading cross-functional teams.
• Reside within the Washington DC Metro area.
• Travel within the Washington DC Metro Area, and CONUS as needed.

Requirements

• Salary Range: $125,000 - $175,000
