Role Description

We're building Nestora - a privacy-first, AI-powered personal document management app with on-device processing and a local-first architecture. You'll deliver high-quality features across iOS and Android, collaborate with backend engineers, and help turn a working system into a dependable, elegant product.

Qualifications

• 3+ years with React Native 0.80+ — modern hooks, context, and performance patterns
• Strong proficiency with Expo SDK 54 (managed and bare), expo-router, and deep linking
• TypeScript 5.x with strict typing; experience with AWS Amplify Gen 2, AppSync, and Cognito
• At least one shipped production-grade mobile app
• Strong debugging skills; comfort with ambiguous, edge-case issues
• Clear, proactive communication in English

Requirements

• Build document capture, classification, and management workflows using React Native / Expo SDK 54
• Implement email integration (OAuth2, sync, intelligent filtering) and on-device conversational AI interfaces
• Translate designs into responsive, accessible interfaces with NativeWind and smooth animations via reanimated
• Write unit and integration tests; debug across iOS and Android; optimize startup time and memory
• Maintain native builds — Xcode/CocoaPods (iOS), Gradle/Kotlin (Android), platform-specific APIs
• Participate in code reviews; validate and refine AI-assisted code before production release

Work Setup

• Remote - India-based
• Full-time
• Daily overlap with US time zones required. Expectation of availability for team calls and code reviews during these hours: 10am-2pm and 8pm-12am
