[Hiring] Legacy Application Support - Mainframe @Zensar

Role Description

• Strong hands-on experience in COBOL programming
• Ability to develop, enhance, debug, and optimize COBOL batch and online programs
• Expertise in JCL (Job Control Language)
• Should be able to write, modify, analyze JCL and troubleshoot abends (system/program errors)
• Solid working knowledge of DB2
• Experience with SQL queries, stored procedures, performance tuning, and DB2 data handling from COBOL
• Experience with CICS and VSAM
• Skilled in developing/maintaining CICS online transactions and using VSAM files (KSDS/ESDS/RRDS)
• Core banking domain knowledge

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Mainframe utilities and tools e.g., File-AID, Abend-AID, Expeditor, SMP/E, Endevor, CHANGEMAN
• Understanding of SDLC, Agile, and DevOps concepts
• Familiarity with source code management, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing on mainframe
• Performance tuning and system optimization skills
• Tuning DB2 SQL, COBOL programs, and JCL job performance
• Experience in integration and modernization projects
• API/REST integration with mainframe, migration to cloud/mainframe reengineering, or modernization tools
