[Hiring] Lead Full Stack Engineer @RemoteStar

Role Description

We are seeking an exceptional Full Stack Engineer who has 12+ years of experience in relevant area to join our European Division. You will be working following Extreme Programming (XP) practices and be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex applications across multiple systems in our tech stack, while driving the modernisation and commercial alignment. As a technical leader, you'll mentor team members, champion engineering excellence, and work on both greenfield products and system transformation initiatives.

• Lead the design and architecture of complex, scalable systems.
• Build software based on modern architecture and tech stack, while driving the modernisation where needed, making strategic decisions on refactoring, rebuilding, or replacing components.
• Champion best practices in software engineering, including clean code, design patterns, and architectural principles.
• Evaluate and introduce new technologies that improve system performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Work with operators, analysts, and business stakeholders to align technical solutions with business needs.
• Mentor and guide team members in technical skills, engineering practices, and career development.
• Lead by example through pair programming, code reviews, and knowledge sharing sessions.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning and engineering excellence.
• Support team members in adopting XP practices and TDD methodologies.
• Provide technical direction and remove blockers for the team.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
• Partner with product owners and business stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Continuously improve trading platforms, processes, and team capabilities.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience.
• B.Tech / M.Tech candidates preferred.
• Experience with Extreme Programming practices, particularly TDD, pair programming, and continuous integration.
• Deep understanding of core Java and modern Java frameworks (Spring Boot, etc.).
• Good understanding of FrontEnd architecture and experience working with multiple frontend stack.
• Proven experience designing, building, and maintaining large-scale, distributed systems in production environments.
• Demonstrated success in modernising legacy systems, including migrating from monoliths to microservices, refactoring complex codebases, and managing technical debt.
• Strong focus on engineering fundamentals, including design patterns, SOLID principles, clean architecture, and system design.
• Proven track record of leading technical teams, mentoring engineers, and fostering a culture of excellence.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.

Requirements

• Familiarity with Dora Metrics and engineering metrics-driven improvement.
• Experience with event-driven systems, financial platforms, or fintech applications.
