Role Description

We're looking for a holistic and seasoned Backend Developer looking for freedom yet having a highly collaborative and open-minded attitude. You're not only a developer; you want to architect solutions, care about security principles, deal with IaC infrastructure (AWS), and are passionate about services observability. You like the underlying principles of crypto, want to teach us something, and also want to learn something new. If this sounds like you, we're looking for you.

Qualifications

• Mastery of JVM and PostgreSQL (Java 21 we are currently using).
• Proven track record of full-cycle backend development, including testing, integration, monitoring, and maintenance.
• Analytical thinking and a highly organised mind.
• Strong ability to prioritise and choose your battles.
• The willingness to regularly give and receive constructive feedback.
• Fluent with AI-assisted development tools - we build with Claude Code daily.

Requirements

• Previous SW engineering experience in the crypto, online payments, banking, or retail industries is a plus.
• Proven track record of actively contributing to OPS topics and infrastructure engineering.
• Familiarity with backend technologies: Spring Boot, JPA, Maven.
• Comfortable using the Linux CLI.

Location

Our engineering team is based in Prague and remotely across the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
