Role Description

Karat is seeking talented U.S.-based engineers ready to commit to a dedicated, availability-based contract through Q3 2026.

• Consistent, dedicated availability of 40 hours per week through Q3 2026.
• This is a fixed-term, four-month engagement with a structured weekly availability commitment.
• Conduct structured 60-minute technical interviews through Karat's platform across domains such as:
  • Back-end
  • Full-stack
  • Front-end
  • System design
• Submit thorough written evaluations of each candidate's coding approach, technical knowledge, and communication skills.
• Maintain Karat's standards for structured, inclusive, bias-mitigated interviewing throughout your engagement.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience conducting technical interviews, either through a formal employer program or independently.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills; clear, efficient evaluation write-ups matter here.
• A reliable home setup: stable internet connection, working webcam, and microphone.
• Genuine availability to hold a consistent weekly block for the full three-month term; this is not a pick-up-when-you-want arrangement.
