[Hiring] Intern (Data Engineering) @American College of Radiology

Role Description

The American College of Radiology (ACR) is looking for a motivated Summer Intern (Data Engineering) interested in DevOps, Data Engineering, and cloud technologies. In this role, you’ll support both our DevOps and Data teams by:

• Gathering technical requirements
• Learning how different deployment environments operate
• Contributing to CI/CD workflows

You’ll gain hands-on experience with tools such as:

• Azure DevOps
• GitHub
• Nexus Repository
• AWS S3
• AWS Glue
• AWS Lambda
• AWS CloudFormation

Additionally, you will assist with Data & AI initiatives, including LLM pipeline projects. This internship offers the opportunity to work on meaningful technical projects and build practical skills across modern DevOps and data engineering practices.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Computer Science or an equivalent major
• Good at programming, ideally Python & SQL
• Hands-on expertise with Versioning tools, preferably GitHub and Nexus Repository
• Clear understanding and some hands-on experience with CI/CD tools available in AWS and Azure
• Strong attention to detail
• Good work ethic
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
• Good communication skills
• Ability to solve novel and complex business problems with high quality maintainable code
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Requirements

• Work with existing DevOps tools
• Understand current Data & AI projects including LLM pipelines
• Work on continuous integration and continuous delivery of projects
• Work with the following tools and services: AWS S3, AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, Azure pipeline, GitHub, Nexus repository, Nexus IQ scan, and AWS CloudFormation

Benefits

• Interns work a 32.5 hour work week remotely, from May 18th to August 7th, with every Friday afternoon off
• Hourly compensation range for this position is $19.00 – $23.00
